NUFFIC TTO Regional Junior Speaking Contest

``What makes the world go round``

On Wednesday 6th February the Rijnlands Lyceum Wassenaar hosted the NUFFIC TTO Regional Junior Speaking Contest.
Ten schools attended from South Holland and the theme of the speeches was “What makes the world go round.”

The students all wrote and presented speeches of excellent quality and the judges had a difficult time deciding on the winners.
Emma Passchier 2E and Koske Kitai 3E represented Dalton Den Haag. Koske was second in the competition with his speech “Trust and Fear.”

The Senior Contest was held at Stanislascollege Delft on Friday 15h February. Thijmen Zuiderwijk 4E, Tobi Versteeg 4E and Milou Matthezing 5V took part.
The competitors spoke on a range of subjects and answered questions from the judges.
Once more, the quality and performance of the speeches was of a very high level and Thijmen Zuiderwijk won a place at the national semi-finals to be held in Zwolle on 3 April.
Both afternoons were very rewarding events and show cased the English language skills and creativity of our TTO students.
